4 Hands Turns 4!

4 Hands Brewery is celebrating its 4th anniversary this Friday, Jan. 15th. The St. Louis brewery will be releasing two new beers at the event. Prelude, their 6% ABV sour ale aged in Bourbon barrels with Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, and Brettanomyces Lambicus, has been available on tap but will make its bottle debut.

The Wise Man is a brand new release and it is a Wheat Wine aged in Caribbean Rum barrels. The beverage and the bottle are both inspired by scarecrows.

Review of Absence of Light

There is something to be said for knowing you are close to something great and taking another step forward. Absence of Light is an example of a brewery taking a solid base beer, the 5.5% ABV Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout, and making the right adjustments. For this beer 4 Hands turned down the sweetness and turned up the ABV (7.1%). This beer is so drinkable, tasting like a chick-o-stick likely dripped in dark chocolate. It’s well balanced and well priced, and one of the best beers 4 Hands has produced. #AbsenceofLight #4HandsBrewing

4 Hands Gift Pack

St. Louis brewery 4 Hands is releasing a Christmas-ready three bomber gift box that includes a collectors edition Tiki CMS mason jar glass. The 3 bombers included in the pack are a 22oz bottle of Chocolate Milk Stout (CMS), a 23oz bottle of Horchata CMS (vanilla & cinnamon), and a 22oz bottle of Ticki CMS (chocolate, coffee, coconut).

lightEarlier this month 4 Hands released a new edition of their Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout called Absence of Light. They took their traditional Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout and cranked up the ABV to 7.1% to make it just a little bit nastier.
