Raja Double IPA from Avery

rajasqRaja is the latest IPA from the Boulder, CO brewery Avery. A relative to the highly praise Imperial IPA The Maharaja, Raja comes in a 8% ABV and 70 IBU’s. It is the Prince to Maharaja’s “King of the IPA” title.

On the pour it is much lighter in color than I was expecting with a somewhat floral nose. Hops are present on the nose, but overall lighter than what I was expecting from a DIPA. This beer is soft on palette and masks the 8% ABV well. It is on the piney, or dank side of the IPA spectrum, but not over-powering. Very pleasant and a great addition to the Avery IPA family. #IPA #Avery #DrinkColorado
