New Glarus has announced that the next installment in their Thumbprint Series will be Spotted Cow Grand Cru. This new beer will use the brewery’s Spotted Cow Farmhouse Ale, a beer first released in 2002 and different then current flagship Cream Ale, as its based, but Spotted Cow Grand Cru will be an 8.5% ABV Farmhouse Ale brewed with Coriander, Sweet Orange Peel, and Czech & Wisconsin Malts. It will be hopped with Willamette and Yakima. You can expect four packs of this new beer arriving in November. #NewGlarus #SpottedCowGrandCru
New Glarus has announced that the final R&D release of 2016 will take place on September 23rd. Pommier Sauvage is a 5.2% ABV is a Sour Blonde fermented with varietal apples from Kickapoo Valley. There will be a two bottle limit for these 500ml $10 bottles. #NewGlarus
New Glarus announced that they will be releasing their Second R&D Release of 2016 on August 12th. Champ du Blanc is a 10% ABV barrel-aged sour blonde ale with Chardonnay grapes. It was spontaneously fermented over the last two years in their Wild Fruit Cave. There will be a 2 bottle limit and each 500ml bottle will be $10.
The third and final R&D release of 2016 will take place on September 23rd.
On Wednesday, New Glarus released the latest in their Thumbprint Series, Smoke on the Porter. This beer was released in a different version in 2007, but this revamped 6.1% ABV Porter uses a unique malt bill and smoking process. 4-packs are available now around Wisconsin. #Thumprint #NewGlarus
